I have to say, I thought the Renfrew Community Garden looked amazing this year! Credit goes to our amazing gardeners who not only tend to their own beds, but contribute time and effort to the entire garden!
We tried something new in 2023…
Member Gardeners had the opportunity to volunteer independently as an alternative to coming to formal “Garden Therapy Sessions” (aka work bees).
Formal “Garden Therapy Sessions” – volunteer contribution: 79.0 hours
Gardening Independently – volunteer contribution : 22.5 hours
That’s a whopping 101.5 hours of tracked volunteer time. Well done everyone!!
I don’t want to forget about the hours of work that are done behind the scenes as well… most notably, by our amazing Membership Coordinator AMBER, the Directors of the Renfrew Community Association who handle our finances as well as numerous other “behind the scenes” volunteers!
